- What does "refurbished" mean?
Refurbished systems are tested to ensure quality workmanship standards remain excellent. Refurbished projects are visually and diagnostically inspected to ensure full functionality. Refurbished systems may have some minor cosmetic imperfections, but they will not affect the system’s performance.
- How old is the computer?
DFS computers are usually 1-3 years old.
- Can you provide the service tag for the computer?
No.
DFS cannot provide a service tag for an item that has not yet been purchased. Please call 800-891-8595 if you need more detailed information that is not included in the item’s description.
- What is included with each system?
All systems sold include essential accessories as listed below:

- What does "No O/S" or "No Operating System" mean?
Systems sold as "no O/S" will not have an operating system.
The operating system is the basic software that is necessary for your computer to function and to run installed application software. Units that do not include an operating system will require one for basic functionality.
Anti-virus, anti-spyware, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, DVD decoder software, etc are not included in the Operating Software.
- When the operating system (OS) is merchandised, what is included?
DFS installs Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2 only when the computer is advertised as including the operating system (OS). Upgrades are available for download at the Microsoft, Inc. website at no cost. Units with an Operating System will have the Dell OEM windows XP reinstallation disk in the box.
- Does the computer include application software?
No.
Application software such as Microsoft Office, Anti-virus, DVD decoder software, etc, is not available from DFS.
- Does the computer come with wireless capability?
Only Laptops and Notebooks that specifically say that there is a wireless card in the details list of each individual listing will include wireless capability. It is up to the customer to carefully read the specifications for an individual listing to find out if this is available for that particular system.
- Will the computer be able to access the internet?
Yes.
All computers sold with an Operating System will have the capability to access the internet. However, an internet service provider is not included.
- Does a manual come with the computer?
No.
Manuals are not included in the box. However, an Owner’s Manual for the computer will be loaded as a .PDF file on the hard drive. Manuals can also be found on Dell’s support website (www.support.dell.com). Free of Charge.
- What disks or CDs come with the computer?
Computers that include an operating system (OS) will include a recovery/reinstallation disk.
- Can the computer be upgraded or customized?
No.
Each computer for sale is prepackaged and ready for shipment. DFS is not able to open the package to change the computer configuration.
- What is a CD-Rom, CDRW, DVD-Rom, CDRW/DVD combo and/or DVDRW?
CD-Rom – Can read CD discs only. This drive cannot save data to any disc.
CDRW – Can read and also write (save) data to CD discs only.
DVD-Rom – Can read data from both CD and DVD discs. This drive cannot write (save) data to any disc.
CDRW/DVD – Can read data from both CD and DVD discs. Can also write (save) data to CD discs only.
DVDRW – Can read and write (save) data to both CD and DVD discs.
- Can I watch DVD movies on the computer?
Yes, after installing DVD decoder software or upgrading the existing media player.
Media players and decoder software can be located on the web for free, or for a minimal charge.
- Does an AC adapter come with the computer?
Yes, after installing DVD decoder software or upgrading the existing media player.

- Does an AC adapter come with the computer?
Yes.
All laptops/notebooks are shipped with AC adapters.
- Does a floppy drive come with each system?
No.
DFS does not provide floppy drives.
- How often does DFS add product to the Dell Financial eBay store?
DFS adds new inventory daily.
- Does DFS export?
No.
DFS does not ship any items outside of the 50 United States or District of Columbia.

- Will sales tax be charged? If so, how much?
DFS is required to collect and remit sales tax on all orders shipping to Texas. Sales tax will be based on the shipping address tax rate.
- Do you accept tax exemptions? If so, how do I place an order to receive my exemption?
No.
DFS items sold on eBay are not eligible for tax exemption.

- Why haven’t I received an email concerning my order?
DFS process orders in the afternoon every business day. Orders are released once the payment has been received and the verification process has been completed. It may take one or two business days to receive the confirmation email.
In the event DFS may need to contact you, please remove any SPAM blocker as this may cause a delay.
- What if my shipping address is in the US but my billing info is not?
All billing and shipping info must be located within the 50 United States and District of Columbia. All funds must be issued using a US banking institution.
- When will my order ship?
Typically orders will ship within 1-3 business days. However, factory delays, issues with payment approval and/or order verification may delay shipment. When your order has been shipped, an email will be sent to the address associated with your eBay account.

- Is there an option for same day shipping?
No.
DFS does not offer same day shipping.
- What does Next Day Delivery and 2nd Day Delivery mean?
You may select to upgrade your shipping from ground to Next day or 2nd day service. Once your order has been processed it will then be placed with the carrier for delivery. Once the carrier has your package your unit will ship Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air rather than 5-7 day ground delivery.
Note: Air shipments are optional and cost extra. However, factory delays, issues with payment approval or order verification may delay shipment. When your order ships, a shipping confirmation email is sent to the email address associated with your eBay account. SOME ZIPE CODES MAY BE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EXPRESS DELIVERY.
- Are there any "ship to" address restrictions?
Yes.
DFS only ships to addresses in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. DFS does NOT ship to PO Boxes, APO/FPO, freight forwarders, packaging companies, hotels or internationally.
Ground shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is not available.
- What if my shipping address is in the US but my billing address is not?
DFS requires both the bill to and ship to address to be within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
- Is a signature required on delivery of items?
Yes.
Customer signature is required on all deliveries!

- Can I finance a purchase from this store?
No.
DFS only accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal .
- Do you accept DFS accounts as payment?
No.
At this time, DFS is not able to accept Dell Credit Accounts (DPA or DBC) as payment on refurbished systems. DFS does account Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPay.
- How long do I have to make the payment for an item I have won?
You have 7 days to pay for your items.
- Can I use more than one method of payment?
No.
Currently, DFS is not able to accept multiple forms of payment for one purchase.
- Can I use a DFS coupon towards my purchase on eBay?
No, DFS is NOT ABLE to accept ANY coupons towards the purchase of eBay items.
- Is there a discount if I would like to purchase multiple systems?
No.

- What if my shipping address is in the US but my billing address is not?
DFS does not accept international cards being billed to an address outside the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Your billing address must match that of the bank and must be issued through a US banking institution. Your shipping address must also be verifiable and in the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Can I cancel my bid and/or order?
No.
You are not able to cancel orders on eBay. Under certain circumstances at DFS’ discretion DFS may allow a cancel without it affecting your eBay account.
- Do you accept e-checks?
Yes.
However, please be advised: We will ship all items after we have been notified by PayPal that the payment has cleared through PayPal and into our account. This is the PayPal policy on ALL e-checks. View their web site regarding this policy. We will not ship any item until the e-check clears! IT MAY TAKE UP TO 7 DAYS, OR IN RARE CIRCUMSTANCES MORE TIME FOR THE E-CHECK PAYMENT TO CLEAR.

- Do these systems have a warranty?
Yes, all systems come with a thirty (30) day warranty/return policy, which is effective on the day the system is received by the customer.
- How do I get my system serviced?
All refurbished systems that were purchased on the DFS eBay Store come with a 30 day guarantee and can be serviced within 30 days from the date of arrival through our tech support team. Please call 800-891-8595 and ask to speak with a technical support specialist. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am-5:30pm CST (excluding holidays).

- What is the return policy?
You may return the products from the DFS eBay store within thirty (30) days from the date of the eBay invoice and obtain a credit of the purchase price (excluding shipping & handling fees, and restocking fee if applicable) to the credit card account used to purchase the products. To return products, you must contact DFS at 800-891-855 to receive a Return Material Authorization and instructions on returning the system back to DFS. For complete details on the DFS return policy please see the Terms & Conditions on the eBay "About Me" page.
- Is there a restocking fee?
Yes.
Unless the product is defective (as reasonably determined by DFS at DFS’ sole discretion) or the return is a direct result of a DFS error, DFS may charge a restocking fee up to 15% of the purchase price paid.
- Can I cancel my order?
No.
You are not able to cancel orders on eBay. Under certain circumstances at DFS’ discretion DFS may allow a cancel without it affecting your eBay account.
